Holiday club exclusives!

Praise God. The Holiday Club has been very successful. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make the club go so well. Please keep praying for the families. Especially those who are not part of a church. We really want to make them welcome at St Andrews and invite them to join the church family and enjoy all the different events we have for children and adults alike.

Can you help the school?

Message from the headteacher

“Many thanks to those governors who helped with some of the loading of the container at the end of term. It will need to be emptied first thing on Monday morning on 6th September and looks like being a big job. If any of you would be able to help or rope in people from church, school parents, friends etc. we would be very grateful. Basically lots of chairs, tables, PE equipemt, boxes of files etc to be carried in to school. If we have plenty of help it will not take long. We will make a start at 9.00am”

Additional church news:

2010 Project is the building fund for St Andrews School

St Andrews School needs our support in the coming year to help to raise money that is desperately needed for some vital building work needed so that the building meets the needs of a school in the 21st Centuary.

Other state run schools get full financial support if a building project is identified.  However, because we are a Church Aided school, the school needs to raise 10%  of the capital before the rest of the funding is released by the local authority.  The Methodist Circuit and the Parish already give a small amount every year for this fund, but there are some larger projects needed and that means the amount we need far excedes the money we normally give.

This year we are committing ourselves to invest in the education needs of people in our own local community by helping to raise the money needed for the building work and development needed in the months to come.

Please support this project by offering fund raising ideas.

More details about what building work is needed will follow.

Please remember that the first major fund raising event will be the Viva Tequilla Night in February.  Please find details on this web site.  Tickets are now on sale.
